Style in The Village - part 2

We created this series to feature individuals who live/work in The Village. Our neighbours. Our friends. Every individual here has some special connection to The Village and Toronto. While we dress these individuals in outfits from our latest collection they talk to us about their relationship with The Village and Toronto.

For this week’s SIV we were lucky to chat with Alexandher Brandy, one of our favourite gender performers and badass talents who works in the Village. 

What does the Village mean to you?

'The Village is a place of learning and growing to me. I have learned so much from the people I have met in the village which I am so eternally grateful for.'

Where are your favourite places to hang out in the Village?

Honestly, my favourite place in the village is the street, I love walking down the street knowing I will run into at least one person I know. It's wonderful to be in a place where you can become part of such a large family.

How have you been adjusting to the pandemic?

Since the pandemic, almost all drag has moved online. I have been very fortunate in that I have been producing a show for over two years and so our team has been able to turn our show into an international show on twitch (twitch.tv/thehouseroyale if you want to check us out).

What’s your favourite piece from the outfit you’re modelling and why?

The beautiful thing about this outfit is that it really does all work together and no piece is a standout - THAT is how you build a good outfit! That being said - my ass looks amazing in those pants!!!
